The funeral for TV-am reporter Paul Reizin will be held in the West Chapel at Golders Green Crematorium, London on Friday 15th October 2021 at 2pm.
Paul was a familiar face on Good Morning Britain throughout the 1980s and was known for his excellent reporting as well as his wit and dry sense of humour, and clever scripting. He was the ‘go-to ‘ man for any quirky story and enjoyed fronting strands such as the anti smoking campaign.
Tragically Paul was diagnosed with CJD - a condition much publicised in the late 1980s and early 90s - known then as ‘Mad Cow Disease’. The full name Creutzfeldt Jakob Disease, for which there is no known cure.
Instead of flowers, Paul’s family would appreciate donations to The Cure CJD Campaign. www.cure cjd.org
A reception will be held afterwards and TV-am colleagues are welcome. Please contact Ian White at the TV-am website for details if you wish to attend. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Friend and TV-am colleague Bob Farrer said Paul’s death was “unspeakably tragic and incredibly unlucky”
Lorraine Kelly said “Sad news. A lovely man. Funny and smart as a whip.”
Nick Owen wrote on Twitter “ Terrible news. What a character he was - good journalist and hugely entertaining colleague.”
Our thoughts are with Paul’s family and friends at this very sad time,
